College Education


I’m going to college! The United Angels Foundation is at the beginning stages of working with universities through out Utah to have programs that will allow individuals with special needs to gain a college education.  A few programs have already been started: Utah State has their Aggies Elevated program and Utah Valley University has help for individuals with Autism, however UAF has a bigger vision in mind where inclusive higher education options for people with intellectual disabilities is a more readily available option. Parent Directed Reading Instruction for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities    For many years, the most common way of teaching reading skills to individuals with significant disabilities was to teach memorizing sight words.
