    Educating Others about your Child with Special Needs

    Whether to try to educate others about our daughter… Recently we picked out new glasses for Mika. After the optometrist had adjusted the glasses for her face, I noticed, that they were still sliding off her nose. When I pointed that out to him, he said that with her kind of nasal bridge, it was basically impossible to make them stay. Interestingly, we had moved from Boston less than a year ago, where we had a very experienced optometrist, who had made Mika’s glasses fit very well, even though her nose was even smaller then. So, I told him that it was actually possible to make the glasses fit, and shared some tricks with him. He took my advice, but I did notice he was not quite as nice as before.
