Newborn & New Diagnosis Visits
Did you or someone you know recently find out your child has special needs? We would love to meet with you! Our trained parent volunteers and staff are excited to welcome new families into our community. We understand that this time is overwhelming and challenging; we are here to listen, answer your questions, share resources and introduce you to our community of supporting and loving families.
United Angels Foundation frequently holds educational seminars carefully designed to address concerns and needs facing parents of special needs children in our community. Topics may include DSPD, behavior, sleep training, IEPs and public education, advocacy, estate planning, potty training and more. Our classes are selected and revised based on parent requests.
Transition To Adulthood
Our Parent Transition Specialist can help you navigate and apply for services such as SSI, DSPD, Medicaid, Guardianship, Financial Planning, Voc-Rehab, and more! Private consultations are free for UAF members. You may request a consultation at any time; however, we recommend a total of three consultations at ages 14, 17/18 and 21+.
United Angels Member Meet Ups
Hosted by members to connect with other UAF parents from the special needs community. Member meet ups happen monthly and range from parent lunches, park days and other gatherings at local attractions. Member meet ups help parents and families connect and expand their support network.
United Angels Community Events
UAF hosts a free family event for members each quarter. Join us for at Classic Skate, Freedom at the Pool, Hee Haw Farms and for our annual Winter Holiday Party.
Sub 4 Santa
We work with local businesses and private individuals to help sponsor families in need during the holiday season. Our goal is to provide essential items such as clothing, hygiene products, school supplies and groceries to families that need and benefit from assistance. Applications open in early September each year. The deadline to apply is October 31st.
Our Sub4Santa program is for members of United Angels Foundation. To qualify, families must provide proof of income and have a child with special needs.
